Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or related field.
- 3+ years of work experience as a devops engineer, operations engineer, or software engineer.
- Experience with one or more programming languages and ecosystems: Python, Go, Java, C/C++, etc. Must have solid development chops.
- Must know VPN technologies and have a strong networking background.
- Must know CloudFormation and Terraform very very well.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as BitBucket, Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Git, Sonar, etc.
- Strong AWS development and deployment knowledge, Azure/GCP a plus.
- Utilized industry standard build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt, Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Must know container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS very well.
- Data Store and search: MySQL, postgreSQL, S3, DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Solr.
- Solid Linux/Unix sysadmin skills.
- Must have solid networking skills and can assist as both a devops engineer and an operations engineer.
- Monitoring & Alerting tools such as Splunk, AWS Cloudwatch, ELK stack, DataDog, Loggy, etc.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and solutions.
Preferred qualifications:
- You have contributed to “always-on” servers, services, agents, or APIs using tools and languages like Java, Go, Python, JavaScript (NodeJS), C++ , etc.
- Agile Development in a Scrum and/or Kanban environment.
- Familiarity with the Development Pipeline, S3, Lamda, EC2, Machine Learning, and AI.
